It is a golden-colored liquid. It is made from chemical compounds derived from the dehydration of sugar alcohol and oleic acid, a fatty acid found in animal and vegetable fats. Polysorbate 80 is used in bath bombs and bath soaks to prevent colors from sticking to the sides of the bath tub. It is also used in water to help break up oils for products such as micellar water.
